Horse Boarding at Summit Ridge Performance Horses

Safe, Limited Pasture Boarding in Pond Creek, Oklahoma

Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with limited-capacity horse boarding on a private, well-maintained property. We offer spacious pasture turnout, shelter, dependable water access, winter Bermuda hay, and attentive daily oversight.

Pasture Board: $450 per horse, per month

A Small Boarding Program With More Individual Attention

We intentionally limit our boarding program to approximately four outside horses. Keeping our numbers small allows us to monitor the horses closely, maintain the pastures, and provide a quieter environment than a large commercial boarding facility.

Our property is located directly off US Highway 60 near Pond Creek, Oklahoma, with convenient access and no county dirt or gravel roads required.

What Your Monthly Board Includes

  • Pasture turnout
  • Access to shelter
  • Automatic drinking-post water system
  • Bermuda grass hay provided when pasture forage is insufficient during winter
  • Routine visual observation of your horse
  • Secure property monitoring
  • Regular pasture and fencing checks
  • Owner access during established visiting hours
  • Space for approved owner-provided feed and supplements, when applicable

Important clarification

Specialty hay, including alfalfa, hay cubes, alfalfa pellets, concentrated feeds, supplements, medications, and other owner-requested products are not included in the monthly boarding rate.

These items must be supplied or paid for by the horse owner.

Designed With Horse Safety in Mind

Our boarding pastures are designed to provide horses with room to move while maintaining practical separation between groups.

Property features include:

  • Field fencing around the exterior perimeter
  • Three-strand electric fencing between pasture areas
  • Pasture shelter
  • Automatic drinking posts
  • Security cameras
  • Owners present frequently throughout the day
  • Limited horse population
  • Direct highway access

Is Our Boarding Program Right for Your Horse?

Because our horses live primarily in a pasture environment, all incoming horses must be reasonably compatible with pasture boarding and safe for routine handling.

Before acceptance, we may ask about:

  • Age, breed, sex, and general temperament
  • Current health and body condition
  • Feeding requirements
  • Previous pasture experience
  • Herd compatibility
  • History of aggression, fence-running, cribbing, or other unsafe behavior
  • Medical conditions or special-care needs

Stallions, horses with significant behavioral concerns, and horses requiring intensive medical or individual management may not be appropriate for this boarding arrangement.

Acceptance is subject to available space, horse compatibility, documentation, and approval by Summit Ridge Performance Horses.

Health and Documentation Requirements

To protect every horse on the property, boarding horses must arrive with current health documentation and remain in compliance throughout their stay.

Include:

  • Current negative Coggins test
  • Current core vaccinations
  • Routine deworming or fecal-testing program
  • Regular farrier care
  • Emergency veterinary contact information
  • Disclosure of medical conditions, medications, and previous contagious illness exposure
  • Any health certificate required by law for interstate travel

You may also require proof of equine influenza and equine herpesvirus vaccination, depending on the final terms of your agreement.

Feeding and hay

Pasture forage is the primary source of roughage during the growing season. Bermuda grass hay is provided when needed during the winter or when pasture conditions require supplemental forage.

Owners are responsible for the cost of:

  • Grain or concentrated feed
  • Ration balancers
  • Alfalfa hay
  • Alfalfa pellets or cubes
  • Supplements
  • Medications
  • Specialty forage
  • Individually requested feeding products

Any feed supplied by the owner must be clearly labeled, stored in an approved container, and accompanied by written feeding instructions.

Because this is primarily pasture board, horses with complicated feeding schedules or extensive individual-care requirements must be approved before boarding.

Services Not Included in Standard Pasture Board

Standard monthly board does not automatically include:

  • Training or exercise
  • Grooming
  • Blanketing or fly-sheet changes
  • Holding for routine veterinary or farrier appointments
  • Daily medication administration
  • Wound care
  • Stall confinement
  • Transportation
  • Specialty feed or hay
