At Summit Ridge Ranch, the health and safety of all horses on the property is extremely important to us. To help protect visiting horses as well as our own animals, the following health requirements apply to every stay.
All horses entering the property must have:
A current negative Coggins test
A valid health certificate dated within 30 days of arrival
Documentation must be submitted prior to arrival through our booking system or approved communication method.
Owners certify that horses brought onto the property:
Are free from contagious or infectious illness
Have not recently been exposed to contagious disease
Are healthy enough for travel and overnight stay
Are safe to handle and reasonably manageable
For the protection of all animals on the property, Summit Ridge Ranch reserves the right to refuse entry or require immediate removal of any horse showing signs of illness, unsafe behavior, or poor condition.
Signs that may result in refusal include, but are not limited to:
Fever
Nasal discharge
Persistent coughing
Diarrhea
Neurological symptoms
Aggressive or dangerous behavior
While not currently required, we strongly recommend horses be current on routine vaccinations including:
Influenza
Rhinopneumonitis (Rhino)
West Nile Virus
Eastern & Western Encephalitis
Tetanus
Please help us maintain a clean and safe environment for all guests and horses by:
Not sharing water buckets between unfamiliar horses
Monitoring your horse during your stay
Cleaning up excessive manure, hay, and trash
Reporting any health concerns immediately
Stallions may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Owners must disclose stallions at the time of booking and maintain proper control of horses at all times.
If you have questions regarding health requirements prior to booking, please contact Summit Ridge Ranch before your arrival.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, welcoming environment for traveling horses and their owners.
